Key Responsibilities
- Engage community partners, volunteers and employees to run outreach programmes for migrant workers in dormitories, recreation centres, and other facilities.
- Plan and coordinate with corporate partners, volunteers and student groups, while identifying new platforms for outreach.
- Support programme evaluation, reporting, and standard operating procedures review to ensure service quality.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders, assist casework, and help with daily operations.
- Implement case plans, community development projects, and group interventions.
- Conduct assessments, maintain case notes, and review interventions to improve outcomes, while collaborating with other agencies to pool resources.
Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in case work, social services or a related field.
- Intermediate understanding of social work theories, ethics, casework, group work, and community development.
- Proficiency in social work interventions and programs through targeted activities.
- Ministry of Manpower regulations and social policies affecting migrant workers community
- Ability to speak Tamil and Bengali is advantageous in order to communicate with the migrant worker community who are mostly from India and Bangladesh
Skills
- Casework & group work management by assessing client needs, developing care plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings.
- Accurately complete and maintain required documents such as intervention plans, progress reports and case notes.
Experience
- Hands-on experience in managing social work interventions, both in individual and group settings.
- Conducting casework, group work, and evaluating community development activities to improve service delivery and meet the needs of the migrant worker community.
